Carl Otto Johnson ble født den 18 juli 1862 i Sverige. Han døde den 19 august 1935 i Stoughton, Wisconsin, USA. Han giftet seg med Martha Carlson, den 18 januar 1888 i Wisconsin, datter av Karl Andreas Thomsen og Anna Hansdatter. De hadde 6 barn samt en adoptert datter:

1. Carl Gustav Emil Johnson, b. March 20, 1889 in Dane County, WI, d. Sep. 28, 1964 in Stoughton, WI.
2. Oscar Alfred Johnson, b. August 5, 1892, d. September 08, 1954.
3. Clara Johnson, b. June 1895. d. in Ohio.
4. Emma Johnson, b. November 1898.
5. Arthur Johnson, b. Jan. 1900.
6. Mrs. Boden.
7. Mrs. Kirkpatrick. Hun var adoptivdatter.

Carl Otto Johnson emigrerte til America 1882. Han giftet seg med Martha Carlson i 1888. Fra folketellingen (Census) 1900 kan vi utlese at de var gårdbrukere i Rutland township ved Stoughton, Wisconsin, USA.

CARL JOHNSON, 73; DIES HERE
Town of Dunkirk Farmer Dies Monday
After Suffering Stroke Saturday

Carl O. Johnson, 73, town of Dunkirk farmer, died here Monday evening at the home of his son, Amil, 610 Oak street, following a short illness. Mr. Johnson suffered a stroke while visiting at his son's home Saturday, from which he failed to recover, and death occurred about 10 p.m. Monday evening.

He was born in Sweden, July 18, 1862, and came to the United States in 1882. He was engaged in farming in the vicinity of Stoughton and Evansville, and for the past 30 years has been located on a farm about three miles south of Stoughton. On Jan. 18, 1888, he married to Martha Carlson by the Rev. T. H. Dahl.

Survivors include the widow, three daughters, Mrs. Clara Clausen, Dunkirk, Mrs. Kostrak, of Madison; Mrs. Boden, Rockford Ill.; three sons, Amil, of Stoughton; Arthur, Dunkirk; Oscar, Madison; one adopted daughter, Mrs. Kirkpatrick, Madison; one brother August, of Evansville, and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Kjolseth Funeral Home, and at 2 o'clock at the First Lutheran church, with the Rev. M. H. Hegge officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside cementry.
