GERHARDSON-THORSON
A pretty wedding was solemnized
at the Crow River church last Wednesday
evening at eight oclock when
Ada Luella, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Albert Thorson of Colfax township,
became the bride of Gerhard Gerhardson,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Hans
Gerhardson, also of Colfax township.
Rev. H. O. Svare was the officiating
clergyman.
Before the ceremony Mrs. M. N.
Heglund sang O Promise Me. The
bride was becomingly attired in an
ivory white canton crepe gown. She
wore a tulle veil held by pearls and
carried a shower bouquet of brides
roses and lillies of the valley. Cora
Thorson, a sister of the bride, was
the maid of honor, attired in Nile
green crepe de chine gown and wore
a corsage bouquet of roses and lillies
of the valley. The bridesmaids
were Miss Laura Gerhardson, attired
in flesh colored organdy and wore a
corsage bouquet of roses and lillies
of the valley, and Miss Martha Gerhardson,
attired in pale blue crepe
de chine and wore a corsage bouquet
of lillies of the valley and roses. They
were both sisters of the groom.
The groom was attended by his
brother Einar, Clarence Odland and
Alvie Thorson. Katherine Gunderson
and Coleman Larson, attired in
white acted as flower bearers.
A two course supper was served
to eighty guests. The rooms were
decorated in white and pink streamers.
The young couple will leave for
a Wedding trip to Moorhead and
other parts of northern Minnesota.
The bride has been a teacher in
the county schools of this county for
several years. The couple were recipients
of many beautiful and useful
gifts.Contributed.
