Nils Elias Nilsen Thomsen (1847 - 1873)

Nils Elias Nilsen Thomsen was born 11 Juli 1847(# 69) on Kvarven farm, Fitjar, Hordaland County, Norway. He died 30 Nov. 1873(# 28) on Mølstrevåg in Sveio. He was son of Nils Elias Thomsen and Sofie Christiansdatter. Nils Elias married the widow Ingeborg Simensen (Thime) on 29 Nov. 1870(# 12). They had 2 children:

1. Klara Sofie Kristine Thomsen, b. 20 May 1871(# 11), Valevåg.
2. Einar Toralf Thomsen, b. 10 Feb. 1873(# 5), d. 1909. He was a sailor. He was confirmed 25 Sep. 1887(# 5)

Nils Elias was confirmed 5 July 1863(# 5) in Fitjar church. His grade was very good. He was then living on Ivarsøy farm.

Nils took over the store, in Valevåg when he got married. When his daughter was confirmed 11 Oct. 1885(# 4), he is mentioned as a schoolteacher.

His wife Ingeborg Simensdatter remarried Osmund Danielsen Hovda, b. 1854, d. 1920. They had 2 children. They were living on Avløypet farm, Sveio. 1)
