She was daughter of Thomas
Tollefsen and Inga
Torstensdatter. Ragna married Jens Mortensen,
Malkenes, Tysnes (1788

Sep. 1853), Ragna's
sister Brithe and Jens leased the tenant place Nobbelen on Røen farm from
her brother ca. 1820. They struggled to survive. In 1826 they had to leave pant
as a pledge in their houses to Ola Neravåge for 16 dollars. After awhile
they had to get public assistence, and they died very poor both Jens and his two
wifes. Jens married Brithe's sister Ragna when Brithe died. 1)
