Ranvei Clausdatter was born July
24, 1824(# 28) on lower Eikeland farm, Sveio, Hordaland County,
Norway. She died Mar. 22, 1910 in Minnesota, United States. She was
daughter of Claus Larsen Grindheim and Anne Andersdatter Eikeland. Ranvei
married Ole
Knutsen Grindheim Nov.
3, 1843(# 46) probably in the
Old Moster Church. They had many children. Here is a link to their

Ranvei's christening was held in July
25, 1824(# 28) in Valestrand church in Sveio.
Her parents were living on Eikeland farm in Sveio until 1828 when they
bought a part of upper Grindheim farm in Moster, Bømlo, Hordaland
County, Norway. This part was 1/4 of upper Grindheim farm.
In the 1865
census Ranvei was living on upper Grindheim farm together with her husband
and their children. See the rest of the children on the next page.
Ranvei emigrated to America together with her husband Ole Knutsen and
their children. They departed from Bergen, Norway May 10, 1867 with
the ship Norden and arrived in Quebec, Canada June 18, 1867. Passenger
List. See #342-352.

census "Ranvi Knutson" was living in Colfax Township, Kandiyohi,
Minnesota, United States together with her husband and children.
In the 1895
census "Ranvei Knudson" was living in Colfax Township, Kandiyohi,
Minnesota, United States together with her husband and children.
In the 1900
census "Ranvei Knutson" was living in Colfax Township, Kandiyohi,
Minnesota, United States together with her husband and their children
Severin and Kari.
