Rasmus lived on Eide farm in Bømlo from 1822 to 1851 when he bought Lønning farm in Tysvær and moved there with his family.

In the 1865 census Rasmus was living on Lønning farm, Tysvær, Rogaland County, Norway together with his wife and their children.

In the 1875 census Martha Rasmusdatter was living on Haugsbø farm, Valestrand, Sveio, Hordaland County, Norway together with her husband and their children. Her father was visiting his daughter. 1)
