Marthe (Johnson) Peterson (1841 - 1918)

Marthe Johnson (or Marthe Mattiasdatter Einstabøvoll as her name was in Norway) was born Aug. 6, 1841(# 93) on Einstabøvoll farm, Valestrand, Sveio, Hordaland County, Norway. She died July 1, 1918 in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, USA. She was daughter of Mathias Johannessen Fjellhaugen and Valgjerd Arnesdatter Einstabøvoll. Marthe married 1863 Nels Peterson in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota. They had 5 children:

In the 1895 census "Marta Petterson" was living in Norway Lake, Kandiyohi, Minnesota, together with her husband and their son's Matias and Karl. Marthe's mother in law "Mina Petterson" was also living with them.
