Aaste Hansdatter was born 1779 on Omborgsnes farm, Bamle, Telemark County, Norway. She died 11 Feb. 1856(# 7) on Blekebakken, Brevik, Telemark County, Norway. She was daughter of Miller Hans Torbjørnsen and Ingeborg Gjertsdatter. Aaste married Lars Larsen 30 Dec. 1806(# 30) in Bamle church, Bamle, Telemark County, Norway. They had at least 5 children:

Aaste was christened 11 Dec. 1779 in Bamle church, Bamle, Telemark County, Norway.

In the 1801 census she was living on Rotvig farm, Risør, Aust-Agder County, Norway together with her parents and siblings. Her name was then listed as Aase Hansdatter and her father leased the farm and he was a miller.

Aaste and her family moved back to Bamle before 1806.

Aaste was buried 17 Feb. 1856(# 7) in Brevik church, Brevik, Telemark County, Norway.
