Albert Nicolai Thorson (1877 - 1937)

Albert Nicolai Thorson was born May 10, 1877. He died July 2, 1937. He was son of Andfin "Anfin" Thorson and Anna Hansdatter Hystad. Albert Nicolai married Sina Amanda Larson Apr. 14, 1899 in Kandiohi County, Minnesota. Albert and Sina had atleast 5 children:

In the 1880 census "Anfin Thomsen" is living in Colfax Township, Kandiyohi, Minnesota, United States together with his wife Anna and 5 children. Anfin was a farmer.


In the 1895 census "Anfin Thompson" is living in Colfax Township, Kandiyohi, Minnesota, United States together with his second wife Sophie and his son's Carl and Albert from his first marriage. Anfin was a farmer. (His son Anton Thorson and his family are also on the same page).

In the 1895 census above it's mentioned that his son Albert was on a trip to Norway. He was visiting family in Stord, Norway.

Albert left Bergen in Norway June 14, 1895 with the Cunard line. Probably the ship left for Hull, England. He then took a train to Liverpool, England, and left Liverpool with the ship Aurania and arrived in New York June 27th, 1895. (Ellis Island). In Ellis Island he is mentioned as Albert Thorson.

Albert's brother Anton Thorson who were living in Canada together with his wife and many children died at his brother Albert's home when he was visiting him. See obit under Anton Thorson. Here are also the other living sibling's mentioned.
