Andreas Hansen (Andrew Jacobson) (1845 - 1931)

Andreas Hansen was born 4 July 1845(# 17) on Blekebakken, Brevik, Telemark County, Norway. He died 6 June 1931 in Spring Valley, Pierce, Wisconsin, USA. He was son of Hans Jacobsen and Maren Johanne Larsdatter. Andrew married Alvilde Marie Melsby abt. 1872.

Andreas was christened
14 Sep. 1845(# 17) in Brevik church, Brevik, Telemark County, Norway.

He emigrated to USA 1864 together with his parents and siblings and was living in Muskegon, Michigan, for one year, where his father died, and he came west with his mother and siblings to Pierce County, Wisconsin. He used the name Andrew Jacobson in USA.

1870 census he was living in Wisconsin together with his mother and brother Jerry. His name was then listed as Andrew Jacobson.

In the 1880 census he was living in Gilman, Pierce, WI, together with his wife Alvilda and his daughter Fany J Olson 4 years old, adopted ??. His occupation was farming and his name was listed as Andrew Jacobson.

1900 census he was living in Gilman, Pierce, WI, together with his wife Alvilde Jakobson. His name was listed as
Andrew Jacobson. His marriage year was estimated to 1872 and his immigration year was 1864.
