Anna (Hansdatter) Borden (1844 - 1930)

Anna Hansdatter was born July 9, 1844(# 100) on upper Grindheim farm, Moster, Bømlo, Hordaland County, Norway. She died 1930 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. She was daughter of Hans Petersen Ersland and Siri Nilsdatter Grindheim. Anna married 1873 Torsten Borden. They had atleast 7 children:

2. Benjamin Martin Borden, b. 9 Mar 1876, d. 29 Mar 1959, m(1) 1907, Lena Amundson, m(2) 1918, Rosella J “Rose” Borden.
3. Henry M. Borden, b. 1877, d. 1960, m. Letitia Grace “Lettie” Edwards.
4. Marie Bertha Borden, b. 1880, d. 25 Jun 1962, m. 1903, John F. Keller.
5. Sara A. Borden, b. 1882, d. 1968, m. 1908, August H. Moede.
6. Anthony Borden, b. 1887, d. 1954, m. 1908, Olga Aurora Paulina Olson.

Anna's christening was held July 14, 1844(# 100) in the Old Moster Church.

Anna emigrated to America together with her parents and sibling's. They departed from Bergen, Norway May 20, 1869 with the bark Lyna and arrived in Quebec, Canada June 13, 1869. Passenger List. See # 69-73.
