Inger Helene Hansdatter (Helene "Lina" Jacobson) (1842 - 1921)

Inger Helene Hansdatter was born 23 Sep. 1842(# 24) on Blekebakken, Brevik, Telemark County, Norway. She died 18 Aug. 1921 in Beldenville, Pierce, Wisconsin, USA. She was daughter of Hans Jacobsen and Maren Johanne Larsdatter. Inger Helene married Ole Pederson 27 Apr. 1866. They had 6 children:

1. Peder Herman Peterson, b. 24 Feb. 1867, d. 11 Oct. 1941, m. 25 Oct. 1894, Jennie Elise P. Ore.
2. Martin Emil Peterson, b. 1868, d. 1943, m. 25 Oct. 1894, Julia P. Ore.
3. Anna Mathilde Peterson, b. 1872, d. 19 Aug. 1875.
4. Bernhart Olai Peterson, b. 1874, d. 8 Sep. 1875.
5. Maren Mathilde Peterson, b. 22 June 1876, d. 11 Oct. 1903, m. 11 Nov. 1897, Edward Pedersen Husfloen (Husflow).
6. Ludvig Peterson, b. 1878, m. 9 Nov. 1901, Emma E. Jenson. They moved to North Dakota.

Inger Helene was christened 26 Dec. 1842(# 24) in Brevik church, Brevik, Telemark County, Norway.

She emigrated to USA 1864 together with his parents and siblings and was living in Muskegon, Michigan, for one year, where her father died, and she came west with her mother and siblings to Pierce County, Wisconsin. She used the name Helena "Lina" Jacobson in USA.

When she was married
27 Apr. 1866 in Martell, Pierce, Wisconsin, USA. Her name was misspelled as Ingler Helen Hansean. Her parents name was also misspelled as Hans Joselsen and Maria Johanna Losen. Ole's parents was listed as Peder Berthelson and Clairi Olsen.

In the 1880 census she was living in Martell, Pierce, WI, together with her husband Ole Pederson and their children Peder H, Martin, Maren and Ludvig A. Her name was then listed as Ingar H Pederson born 1843 in Norway (Ingar should be Inger and H = Helene).

In the 1900 census she was living in Martell, Pierce, WI, together with her husband Ole Pederson and their son Ludvig Pederson born 1778. Her name was listed as Lina Pederson and she was mother to 6 children.

In the 1905 census she living in Martell, Pierce, WI, together with her husband Ole Petersen and their granddaughter Myrtle H Hus*Loen 6 years old. Her name was listed as Lena I Petersen.

In the 1910 census she living in Martell, Pierce, WI, together with her husband Ole Peterson and their granddaughter Myrtle H Husflorn 11 years old. Her name was listed as Lena Peterson and her immigration year was 1863.

When her son Peder Herman was married her name was mentioned as Lina Hanson.

When her son Martin Emil Pederson was married her name was also mentioned as Lina Hanson.

When her daughter Maren Mathilda was married her name was listed as Lina Jacobson.

When her son Ludvig was married her name was listed as Helene Jacobson.

She was buried in Our Saviors Lutheran Church Cemetery.

In the "Finf a grave index" her birth date is listed as 14 Oct. 1842, but the correct date was 23 Sep. 1842. See above.
