He emigrated to USA 1849 together with his parents and 4 siblings.
They departured 2 June 1849 on the brig "Preciosa" from Drammen,
Buskerud County, Norway. They arrived in New York on 26 July 1849. They came to Jefferson County, Wisconsin, and moved about 1854 to
Martell Township, Pierce County.
He used the name Ole Peterson in
USA.

parent's names was listed as Peder Berthelson and Clairi Olsen.
