Ole Pedersen Lodengaard (Ole Peterson Berge) (1835 - 1914)

Ole Pedersen was born 22 Nov. 1835(# 8) on Lodengård farm, Gausdal, Oppland County, Norway. He died 22 Dec. 1914 in Beldenville, Pierce, Wisconsin, Usa. He was son of Peder Bertilsen Lodengaard and Mari Olsdatter Sønstegaard. Ole married Inger Helene Jacobson on 27 Apr. 1866 in Martell, Pierce, Wisconsin, USA. They had 6 children:

1. Peder Herman Peterson, b. 24 Feb. 1867, d. 11 Oct. 1941, m. 25 Oct. 1894, Jennie Elise P. Ore.
2. Martin Emil Peterson, b. 1868, d. 1943, m. 25 Oct. 1894, Julia P. Ore.
3. Anna Mathilde Peterson, b. 1872, d. 19 Aug. 1875.
4. Bernhart Olai Peterson, b. 1874, d. 8 Sep. 1875.
5. Maren Mathilde Peterson, b. 22 June 1876, d. 11 Oct. 1903, m. 11 Nov. 1897, Edward Pedersen Husfloen (Husflow).
6. Ludvig Peterson, b. 1878, m. 9 Nov. 1901, Emma E. Jenson. They moved to North Dakota.

Ole was christened 13 Dec. 1835(# 8) in Svatsum church, Gausdal, Oppland County, Norway.

He emigrated to USA 1849 together with his parents and 4 siblings. They departured 2 June 1849 on the brig "Preciosa" from Drammen, Buskerud County, Norway. They arrived in New York on 26 July 1849. They came to Jefferson County, Wisconsin, and moved about 1854 to Martell Township, Pierce County.

He used the name Ole Peterson in USA.

27 Apr. 1866 in Martell, Pierce, Wisconsin, USA. His parent's names was listed as Peder Berthelson and Clairi Olsen.

In the 1880 census he was living in Martell, Pierce, WI, together with his wife Ingar H Pederson and their children Peder H, Martin, Maren and Ludvig A. His name was then listed as Ole Pederson.

In the 1900 census he was living in Martell, Pierce, WI, together with her wife Lina Pederson and their son Ludvig Pederson born 1778. His name was listed as Ole Pederson.

In the 1905 census he living in Martell, Pierce, WI, together with his wife Lena I Peterson and their granddaughter Myrtle H Hus*Loen 6 years old. His name was listed as Ole Petersen.

In the 1910 census he living in Martell, Pierce, WI, together with his wife Lena Peterson and their granddaughter Myrtle H Husflorn 11 years old. His name was listed as Ole Peterson and his immigration year was 1849.

He was buried in Our Saviors Lutheran Church Cemetery.
