Carl Martin Severson (1893 - 1951)

Carl Martin Severson was born 30 Mar. 1893 in Porter, Rock County, Wisconsin. He died 9 Aug. 1951 in Stoughton, Dane County, Wisconsin. (Cemetery West Koshkonong Lutheran Church in Dane County, WI). He was son of John Martin Severson and Kathrine Carlson. Carl Martin married Clara Bjornson, 26 Feb. 1917 in Rockfort, IL. They had 1 child:

1. Stanley Severson. b. March 9, 1918, Stoughton, WI, d. Nov. 7, 2001, Los Angeles CTY, CA.

Clara Bjornson was born about 1889. She later married John Nelson.

Carl Severson Is Dead Here At 58.

Carl M. Severson, 58, passed away early Thursday morning at Stoughton Community hospital following an illness of one and one-half years.

Mr. Severson was born March 30, 1893, in the town of Porter, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Severson. He attended the Hillcrest district school.

On February 26, 1917, he was united in marriage to Miss Clara Bjornson at Rockfort, Ill. They resided in Stoughton for several years and they moved to a farm in the town of Christiana, where they engaged in farming until 1942 when they returned to Stoughton. Mr. Severson worked at the Armour Condensery for many years.

He was a member of the West Koshkonong Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Stanley, Deerfield; one granddaughter, Virgine, Deerfield; two sisters, Mrs. Lilian Anderson and Mrs. Olaf Hanson, both of Stoughton; and three brothers, Arthur, Stoughton, Theodore, Minneapolis, and Clarence, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Funeral services under the direction of the Cummings Funeral home will be held at 2 p.m. 1)
