He was alone in the truck, and as far as known, no one witnessed the accident which happened about 5:30 o'clock, but it is believed that either he was unable to see the road on account of slect on his windshield or else the truck slewed from the more or less icy road. The collision in front of the farm of Mrs. Chas. Weed. some threemiles southeast of Darien, and members of her family, hearing the crash, hastened out and carried into the house the young man who had been thrown thru the windshield and who died half an our later. Just what injury caused his death is not known but the left side of his face was badly cut up and his left eye and both hands were bruised.

The Remains, which were removed to Delavanfrom the Weed home, were brought here this forenoon by Undertaker Melvin Halverson and Isaac Anderson, a brother-in-law of the deceased, but arrangements for the funeral have not been made yet.

The deceased, who was in his 30th year, was the second son of the late Mrs. and Mr. John M. Severson of this locality.
